Yo from RoPo!
COMMISSIONER'S NOTES:
Hello, FBA Fans!
Thank you everyone who attended tonight's game! Very, very exciting matchup, and it seems… we need a Game 7! The Bikers have managed to tie up the series to 3 a piece!
That game will HAVE to be featured on CSL-- and because of a family obligation, I probably won't be available on Saturday night for the properly scheduled episode. Therefore…!
Expect Game 7, DAK @ WPG to be this SUNDAY… as well as any other Game 7s we have left! It could be a Sunday of potentially 3!!! CSL episodes, depending on how the rest of the games go!!
First, for tomorrow, I am going to try to hold an episode of CSL. It MAY have to be cancelled due to 2 things… I've got a radio shift Saturday morning, so I have to get up super early, aaaaand, it's supposed to be very very hot tomorrow, and since my studio doesn't have AC, if it's just way too uncomfortable, I'll be forced to cancel.
Still! I'm going to try. And instead of just deciding which matchup we're going to watch, I'm going to leave it up to whoever happens to be there at 7! So, which match? TBA!

Is it, or was it recorded on Livestream?
I said to people it wouldn't be so simple as Voyagers vs Typhoons, and I think I'm gonna be right...

I was looking forward to a great game between the Bikers and Voyageurs and was secretly hoping for the Canadians to make it into the next round. Instead, I saw a team that got frustrated by how much better the Bikers were tonight, and the easiest of plays were difficult.
As good as Zoie Wilds was once again, most of the game saw the Bikers punishing the Voyageurs for non-clinical shots and putting the ball to the other end of the court into the bucket. The first three quarters were just that. The Western Champs all over the Canadian dark horses, who were merely trotting along like a petting zoo pony.
The fourth quarter seemed like it saw the Voyageurs pulling on an epic come back, reducing the lead to 10 at one point, but the Bikers came back and gave Winnipeg another slap on the cheek, pulling away once again. It was a delight for the fans in Sturgis to see their team staying alive and forcing a Game 7, but to the displeasure of Voyageurs GM, Axe Timberheart, I had to wonder what that loud pounding beside me was. Turns out, the green elk had punched a hole into the wooden desk in his box. I saw him walk out after the game, holding his right hand a little, but his eyes just told me he wanted out of Sturgis and just get home to unwind.
I don’t blame him. What I saw down there was probably the worst performance by the Voyageurs this year. Travelling, avoidable out-of-bound passes, and just not having the mental strength is what cost the Voyageurs the game in the end.
Out of respect, I stayed outside of the Voyageurs locker room, hoping someone would come out. Eventually, it was the veteran, Mikhail Lobochevski who noticed me and decided to give me just that one bit needed to explain the whole game.
“We lost it, there’s all I can say.” He said with obvious disappointment in his tone. “We let ourselves get away and we didn’t function as well as we wanted to. Our comeback was too late, and we should have just executed better. I know we can’t win all the time, but tonight, we showed our weakest side. All we can do now is focus on Game 7 and put the Bikers behind us.”
Game 7 is on Saturday night, and I hope the spirits of “Winner-peg” will be raised again. This team needs to get back together and be the force that captured the hearts of many Canadians during this season.
