uwu! I'm nothing if I'm not an optimist! I know there are wonderful people in this community, I've met them (you included of course). I know you understand what I feel, it must stem from being well known, I imagine it's something that you have to fight often, good on you for keeping your head up as well.

A friend of mine posted a journal about leaving the fandom because she had an overwhelming fear that someone would steal her fursona. She feared that someone popular would get mad at her for something, and steal it, rip her apart with their popularity, and prance around with her fursona like a prize.

It got me thinking about how fursona stealing is something that happens every day, and FA does shit it stop it. I understand her fear, as I do many others who have had the same problem. You piss off someone who has a large following, they take your fursona, and then you're just left without an identity, with something you loved so much just stolen from you.

But you see, you're not a helpless little fowl. You shouldn't just lay down and die. No, You need to fight for whats yours.

It sounds nearly unheard of, but don't let someone who's 'popular' take something that you own. Never lay down and die. You fight for what you're entitled too. What you god damn worked for. You have to remember that most furries with any sort of attitude where they gain popularity where just nerds in school that got picked on, and now that they are the 'popular' folks, they think they can shit on people like they where shit on when they where in school.

No matter if you have one or one million people backing you up in your fight, never stop. Never die. Never quit until you show them that you're not just another spineless furry, that you know whats yours, what you worked on, and who you are.

You're not just another person in a sea of a fandom, you're a one in a million person, and don't let anyone tell you different.

Halo has it right and well put. Your art is YOUR ART. From the moment you create it, it is copywriten to you. If someone wants to play big dick and steal it. Ok, so be it. Just kindly let them know that it is a $5,000 fee for copyright infringement and you can push further claims to make it up to $10,000. If they think they're popularity is worth that much. Then let them pay. I have the lovely job of telling people why they can't copy some ones work, even if its just for personal use. You don't have to register your work or anything.

I'm not an artist so I can't relate very well, but if someone stole something that I'm proud of like that I'd kick their silly little butts no matter how popular they are!
