...I'm finding it impossible to locate an artist who PERFECTLY captures what I see in my head. >.>
Here on FA I'm spoilt for choice: hundreds of thousands of amazing artists, I've barely scratched the surface, and yet I've never found that one perfect guy/girl who can do it for me, though many come close!
Draw my characters myself, you say? I would, if I'd the talent, which I don't. :/ It's also not really a question of talent, but of style. Think of how E.H. Shepard influenced our imagining of The Wind in the Willows, or John Tenniel our imagining of Alice in Wonderland. That's the sort of stylistic suitability I mean!
Maybe it's a futile effort, though, and no-one can ever really conjure what they see in their heads, with or without other people's help?

Maybe it is impossible for anyone to capture what the imagination sees, no matter how talented!
Oddly, I find the stylised work of
I don't care for anime, too perfect looking, too flawless....also not helping that I had a fall-out with an idiotic anime-obsessed person who started yelling at my old account for using an emote....and is generally a pretty selfish person (he only likes others of they have giant muscle anthros or gooey eyed anime humans, everyone else is inferior)

and I think drawing what you imagine can be done though, look at Miyazaki and all that he does :o
-if your character isn't a gooey eyed Yoai human or a giant muscle head
-if your not into anime
-if your not worthy enough and comment on his gallery or use an emote
and a whole tonne of other silly reasons....x_x
I'd happily give him an Hittite style bashing (which includes chariots, iron swords and spears)
