This is a good news/bad news situation. I got my laptop back, but they couldn't recover anything on the harddrive. Therefore, I have to literally install everything i had on there all over again. I'll be mostly offline for the next week or two while i sort everything out.
FA+

oh well, shouldn't take too long to re-install everything.
puff: with linux it would take weeks, luckly windows has allot plug and play drivers who'll auto-install allot >;)
-"sudo apt-get install (applications)"
-enter password
-wait
-done
windows:
-find website
-look for download
-wait
-run
-accept several million licenses
-repeat for every minor useless app.
-watch everything crash
-complain
-try again
linux is stable because nothing runs on it, and with an emulator it's even more unstable then windows :3
If anything, the problem is that there are too many apps that can run on it.
And WINE runs windows apps better than windows does :P
the only thing unstable is the windows app; and, more likely, your comp.
even Pidgeon is more buggy then msn ;3
and if linux is so "stable" , then why is it that FA (who probably runs on linux) was so unstable.
i know it's allot program stuff, but that's one of linux's big fails, you've to do hours of work to get something done.
and really? check wine's site. almost every new game, no matter how graphics intense, works fine.
the problem is buggy windoze coding.
