Shifting 'sonas?
I realized today I have had many 'sonas as I grew up and they changed regularly. Though, I didn't call them such until I discovered the fandom. My father referred to himself as a Red Dragon sometimes when I was a child, so at the age of 6, I was the green dragon Karasendreth, I loved to roleplay and he began to teach me other games but as well I'd act in character all the time to my mother's annoyance. It seemed a relatively normal thing for a kid that age. I would grow out of it.
In second elementary school, grades 4 and 5 we were the Oak Street Jaguars and I became T'Aru the Jaguar. She was a feral and despite having human emotions didn't talk. I didn't roleplay her physically or anything but I wrote out stories of her in first person often. Then when we moved away at 12 I had
a harpy(Shiva),and a Vaporeon (Freez). Later it was a winged feline(Harpy),a Renamon(Ren), a winged werewolf(Kara Selken), and finally Mirachaya the caracal/scottish wildcat hybrid. I have an unnamed feral Liepard that keeps showing herself as well.
Most of my earlier shifts were due to characters no longer fitting. Later characters began to take on more of a life of there own, tended to be anthro instead of feral and were better aspects of me. Yet looking back I am neglecting my old characters and wish to revive them, although perhaps with changes.
Anyone else go through several forms before they found their self? Perhaps Should I just label myself shapeshifter?

I myself have always felt a dragon, since I was a kid. *ponders* To think of it, nothing else would feel to fit. It is amazing how many sonas you've "switched" through in your life ^^ I wouldn't mind if you were a shifter ^^ <3

That's just it, many of these are separate personalities in my mind representing different parts of who I am or was. Many are "me, yet not me now." Hrm, Should see what Flygon thinks as he's a shifter.

I love horses and roleplay as one as a kid but I have mainly seen myself as a kitty

Ah any particular kind? I never was a fond of horses as many girls are as a kid, think it was 'cause there weren't any near us. Though I remember some girl's cartoon involving ponies and wolves that people rode on when I was really little. The memory is quite vague. I did think they were pretty. Hrm... We're you at the age of the original MLP craze? I remember it barely. (think I'd just started kindergarten.)

I never really watched MLP but I always like mustangs or wild horses. I didnt have any near me either but I still liked them.

Interesting.... wonder if it was as this kitty found the Clydesdales on my Uncle's farm scary.

Hmm, I never really had a set 'form'. Probably why my FA has itself set as 'shapeshifter'. The truth of the matter is, I never really had a specific character that represents me.
