Happy 4th Everybody,
Have BBQ and remember all the folks that made this country possible, the revolutionaries, folks of sound mind that drew up the foundations of what would be the nation, and everybody that does so on a daily basis... our military, police, firefighters, medical emergency personnel. And... if you're out on the roads, remember... the law is out, and there are a lot of idiots out there, so be careful out there, and if you're one of the ones headed off to PA, have fun out there.
I think this is also a good day to reflect on the path this nation is headed, how we are sliding further and further from the free society that was brought on by the start of the nation. Nowdays, we have more and more restrictions, laws, entitlements, and regulations that are stealing away our financial and life freedoms. Restrictions that creep more and more and keep drawing the lines further and further, plumb over the borders of the Constitution. We have more per-capita of our population in prisons than any other nation; not a great sign of the times. Stand up for true freedom, not the "freedom through layers and layers of safety nets" that they call "freedom and democracy". Life is a series of risks we take daily, if we bubble-wrapped the world, we'd never get to enjoy the beauty in it.
