Hey Guys
This is Gearwolf going over a few thing since we're releasing the comic in just a few days and I guess I just wanted to lay down some expectations and what we're planning on doing with this comic along with how the world works
What to Expect:
At the moment we're looking towards a decent release schedule and trying to get out a comic every week. This should change in the far future and it's all dependent on her schedule not mine.
The Region:
This all takes place in the Johto Region from the gold silver and crystal games and it's probably going to stay like that. I might add a few "new" locations that aren't in the games depending on how I feel about it but I'm warming up to the idea. As for visiting the other regions, well while that'd be neat I can't really figure out how to fit the story into it if we switched back and forth. I'd much rather have a solid location then figure out a reason why we'd be switching back and forth all the time, and Kai's journey to get all 8 badges just complicates that. I want to have each town have it's own special story and plot reasons for being there. Pokemon from other regions will be there though, not in the wild of coarse but other trainers will have them since I feel like people would visit the other regions if they wanted to/
The story:
Not going into too much detail I'll just explain what it's NOT about. This isn't the story line from gold & silver, we won't be stopping team rocket from taking the radio tower ect. That'd be too boring. This takes place about 5 years afterwards so you can expect a lot more "new" to be there while yes a lot of the old stuff will be there as well. Basic plot line, Gear & kai are going on a Pokemon adventure to collect all 8 gym badges compete in the Johto League and stop Team *spoilers*. In a nutshell.
The Game Logic:
Ya it doesn't follow it too well. Moves will be there, but it's not limited to 4 but rather they use 4 because that's what usually works. Wouldn't you rather master 4 different moves rather than be the jack of all trades yet master of none? HMs are there and that's where the whole more than 4 moves logic comes into play. The poke-ball is there and I've decided that we're using the "Ideal Environment" mixed in with the "Digital Data" theory. The Pokemon is real but it get transferred into a static state in a digital ideal environment. More on this later if I end up using the logic. Also, EV and IVs are in there but it's more like the power levels in dragonball Z, meaning that they're there and they can be measured but they don't really matter too much, they just help.
I can do an FAQ later once more questions get asked. If you do have a specific question that you'd feel you need to ask send a not over to my account
