The show first takes place in Georgia with sheriff Rick Grimes and his partner Shane. (I forget his last name) They are pursuing armed criminals with other police at their side and when they catch them, Rick gets shot in the upper right part of the chest, knocking him into a coma. When he wakes up, He is in a hospital and everyone appears to be gone and the hospital looks all messed up. He gets out and grabs his sheriff gear and goes to look for his wife and son, only to find out that they are missing and the dead are walking. (get it) As the seasons progress the story gets so much deeper as you find yourself siding with certain characters and wondering how things will be handled by them. Personally, I found myself arguing some of the decisions made by some of the characters with my cousin and my brother. The show does a really good job of showing you how far the will of a man can go until he breaks.
