I'm a big fan of comics, especially ones that are self-published by talented artists. I also have an unhealthy obsession with anthropomorphic birds, especially ones portrayed as living around the tern (heh) of the 20th century.

Occasionally these two interests collide.

BIRDLAND seems to be the answer to my prayers--a musically-linked murder mystery set in Jazz Age Manhattan populated by birds. On top of that, the art is cross-hatched by hand and looks beautiful.
