The greatest intoxicant is velocity.
Godess how I miss it. If you could bottle it you could sell it as delta V.
Velocity is something we all crave... It's us speeding forward, racing forward from our birth to our future. faster than ourselves, faster than we should...
Rainbow dash understands this, the rest of us just deny it The greatest intoxicant, the biggest addiction, None of us desire a cure for Delta v. it is what we all strive for its what its what made us go faster than sound and what is urging us to go faster than light
It's the only way we can die with a smile on our face.

There was a Post WW II Salt Flats Racer by the name of Dick Kraft who had the saying, "To make a Hot Rod, just take off anything that doesn't make the car go faster." This fellow in 1950 built a contraption from an old Model A frame with a huge V-8 engine in it, and without a windscreen, proper safety harness, and a helmet got the contraption named "The Bug" up to 115 MPH. Mr. Kraft went on to create better racers and held many speed records in his time. I'm certain you understand the one thing that drove him on despite the risks was to go faster, and faster still.
It kind of bothers me that the Physicists these days say the speed of Light is the absolute limit of velocity in the physical Universe. Einstein proved it so with his famous Theory of Relativity but recently with the Hubble Telescope, Astronomers have discovered that some of the energy and ejecta flying out of The Crab Nebula is traveling faster than the speed of light. So much for that Theory that anything traveling faster than the speed of light would cease to exist in our Universe. Still, it would take the death of an exploding star to find out more about this observation.
As far as I know there is no limit to the speed of Imagination, so carry on Vulpes Velox! Carry on!
You know if i had know more about this fandom back in the 90's i could have met you when you where in the high desert I was stuck in Barstow not far from you. It would have been inserting
I'm slowly building inertia though. I'm lucky to have folks in my life who are truly wind beneath my wings.
Thanks for the watch and for the deep thought.
