I've discovered a lot of good music backlogged I've yet to share :)
captainfurry flattered me at AC, so I thought I'd do another one of these (and hopefully more often). I like posting this stuff both for others to see and for the hell of it~ so here we go :)
Jquintel is like some groovey god or something. Every remix they do of an Incontext track is deep and easy to listen and groove to. I literally just caught this particular song and figured I'd throw it on here :). Also IDK what's up with the actual video. ignore the subaru or something.
It's not often I pay attention to behind the scenes music crap, but Deadmau5's contract or something with Ultra was up. Apparently it tied him down as far as really experimenting and doing what he wanted, which I suppose is all a side effect of some labels. Deadmau5 doesn't exactly need exposure anymore. At any rate, this little WIP caught my eye, and I'm pretty excited about what he might do in the future, even though I havn't been a fan of most of his stuff since 'I Remember'
My friend, Oddy, shot me this over and I've been really feeling this. Definitely going to give De-Phazz more an eye in the future. Downtempo, soulful, trip-hop-esque awesomeness.
Oh Aphex Twin. I've always been meaning to take a closer look at Aphex Twin, because it's been one of those ever present artists of whome I tend not to like much of their popular works. Tracks like Windowlicker that everyone else seems to like, Don't do much for me. Then I stumble on such soothing, minimal tracks like this... If there's one thing I'm sure of it is that I respect James a hell of a lot. I absolutely love ambient tracks like this, where they draw you in and after like.. 5 minutes you realize there's really not much to the song, but every bit that is there is just perfect.
Also I might say this video is awesome for the song! That's all :)
Another groovy repetitive track, but I love it :)
EDIT:
Forgot I wanted to include this! I love this remix :)
And sure, why not this:
The Flashbulb is definitely one of my favorite artists and has been for some time. This entire album is up there in my top 10 definitely. TBH, I don't normally like glitchy, break-core, noisey IDM, but he has a strange way of making all that chaos not only seem intended, but BEAUTIFUL.

YAY! New stuff! I've been spending a little time online in the evenings investigating the various composers you have here. Very cool choices - you have good taste!
