Just...UGH!

I have become annoyed with all this talk of the next generation of gaming consoles. I heard some even refer to them like the fourth which made me shake my head cause if you go through all of Nintendo's previous consoles prior to the current (NES, SNES, Virtual Boy, N64, GameCube, Wii) that's six consoles before (or five if you don't count Virtual Boy). While yes this is only the third XBox and fourth Playstation, I'd still say it's more like seventh generation at the minimum. Anyway I digress, what annoys me the most is how people are so quick to jump onto any of these consoles and it seems to rely mostly on a visual aspect of the games that are involved with each console.
I personally don't plan on getting any of the consoles, Wii U, XBox One, or Playstation 4 for the sole reason that I'm just sick and tired of buying a new console just to play a game. With the exception of the XBox 360 the consoles aren't even six years old yet and already they're coming out with consoles with better graphics (whoopee-doo). I see this simply as each company so pathetically desperate for people's money that they release a new console, drawing people in with visuals so people will buy it and be otherwise forced to due to so many exclusives that exist with each console. However I don't see the point, games just don't appear to be as interesting anymore, with a few exceptions. Gameplay and story are a thing of the past as I see it and it's simply a visual thing with games, and this alone annoys me the most, and makes me realize that even though I'm not even 30 yet, I'm apparently too old for games these days.
So don't go telling me why one system is more superior than any other cause when it comes down to it, the only thing each one has going for it is a particular exclusive game, and that's it.

khal941 = Not paid yet, but they are working on a piece I've wanted for a while involving the "Original" five Destined of my story.
thelxlbloodlxlprince = Paid! Waiting only on the second part of a two 'springtime' pieces they had in mind with Infinity in a naga form with their char.
