this is basically what i've been doing for quite some time now. I'm an at&t customer service rep. it's essentially retail without the physical labor. a little troubleshooting, some billing questions, and training is really informative. it's not a scam, i 100% guarantee it. The company they merged with, Sykes, is a 3rd party vendor for call centers they have multiple clients including bank of america, and i used to work for sykes directly, until i got hired on with Alpine. :3

it's all incoming calls, no cold calling and you may have to do callbacks for followups or accidental disconnects but that would be the only outbound calling you'd be doing. If you got in on my program, AT&T you'd be answering calls from people about their cellphone accounts. Billing questions, upgrades, new equipment etc.

The pay starts at 9.50 an hour, after training. it's state minimum wage for the first five weeks, (which is the training time) and after that you automatically bump up to either 9.50, or stay at state minimum (whichever's higher) :3 you dont have to be scared of being fired, just be polite to the customers and you'll have plenty of support from trainers/managers/etc. its a really good fun and simple job aside from when you get jerks who just flat out cant be pleased, but thats with any job. :3
