Off work for two days - virulent flu. =_= Doc wouldn't give me antibiotics!
I guess he wanted to save the world from antibiotic-resistant death germs. Can't argue with that, but I better not die in the meantime!

Antibiotics work against microbes, germs. So they wouldn't be any use whatsoever against a virus.
The GP did check to see if my throat was infected, and it wasn't. I wonder what he would've prescribed if it was?
