Some people use Velcro to keep it connected and can take it off. It's also good if you want to go partial when it's too hot. Or it's raining you can put on regular boots or shoes. Removable hands and feet are generally a plus I find when people suit. MUCH easier to clean too.
I also would recommend Nature's Miracle to clean the suits. It's strong, and doesn't ruin the fur. And you rinse it out and let it dry without needing soap.
