Just to clarify, is that 30 avian fursonas or 30 avian suiters?

32 in the burd meeting. im not sure if they were all suiters or not.  colinstu will know the answer since he went though!

I know in suit there was  sawblade5 (Victor Redtail) and  Dracovar with whom I took pictures

Three of them there were in fursuit... but I'm sure there are more that had suits but didn't wear them there. There are also other burd fursuits that I saw elsewhere at the con, but not at the meeting.

We generally hold an Avian meet-and-greet at MFF - last year was a little meh due to a misprint in the schedule, but hopefully this year it should be better. In other words, if you're going to MFF, you goddamn better be there for Flockfest Midwest 2013.

I was a fursuiter at the con but I did not know there was an avian meeting at the con. I would love to attend the next meeting if one happens!

FlockFests could be a really awesome thing to do at cons, sadly I couldn't make it to AC this year

There's a Burdsmeet at FurtherConfusion for the last few years running. We also affectionately refer it to as BirdPizza because we go meet at a pizza place that have bird themed stained glass.

I had a bird meet at califur a couple of years and then someone was able to continue it when i couldn't make it, but generally, bird related get togethers are hard to fill because so few attend or even know it is happening or there is something else going on at the time that draws them away.

Ah yeah! It would be great to find a snap of each one of the ones that was present at the con and link em all in one post here :D .... (I didn't make it though, so maybe someone got a list somewheres...) .. :}

This will be my first year truly getting involved in the fandom, I'm really excited to get to met others, especially other burds!!! I plan on having a suit by the time MFF gets here, so you will definitely see me there - can't wait to meet sine of you there!

There were quite a few bird costumes at AC. I know that the four I made were there. :) I'm waiting to get photos from those folks.
