What the world is depends on whose eyes we see it through. Major wipe-out over the weekend . . . Took a header into a span of billiard-ball sized jagged gravel at ~20-35mph.Lots of contusions, abrasions and two lacerations; the ~20 x-rays they took at the hospital showed no brakes or fractures; though considering what the bill is likely to be I rather wish that at least something was broken to justify the bill.
I’m just hoping that if the lacerations don’t heal properly that people don’t say that it adds character to my face . . .
Sore knee, stiff shoulder and tender ribs but apparently everything is still functional; funny thing is that I’ve been in martial arts for 26 years, but it took colliding with the planet Earth to give me my first black-eye ~ go figure.

I thought people only did stuff like that in movies.
The wounds are healing (not sure if there will be any scarring yet), my ribs are still a bit tender ; most of it is an inconvenience than anything else.
Been riding my bike to work all week so far; so no gun shyness there.
{You know what they say, “if you get thrown, get right back on”.}
I’m a quick healer… Day after it happened, I looked like I was on the losing end of like six rounds of cage-match ultimate fighting; to put things in perspective, I intend to go out to the clubs Friday to do some dancing.
Thanks for the concern though, I really do appreciate it.
And let’s not get started on construction/demolition sites . . .
