The movie was boss as fuq, the color palette is beautiful

it was like....omg idk what to say but it was great.

BOAT SWORD

if its about some kind of stupid war, or guns and cars, i'm not interested.
if its about beautiful places without having to be about people screwing them up, then of course i am.

It's a movie about Kaiju (Giant monsters, think like Godzilla and that sort) fighting humanity, and humanity has giant Mech suits called Jagers. We're talking things the size of bulidings fighting in Hong Kong smashing everything and each other.

ah yes, i grew up in the godzilla era, back before there was an environment movement. and mostly, mothra and all them, were as much to see what could be done creatively with film making, but also, the idea was we were creating future problems for our selves dumping atomic and other toxic wastes and that they do accellerate mutations. the first use of atomic weapons were still a very fresh and horrifying memory. so nostelgia for giant atomic mutated "monsters" vs those giant robot things. giant robot things might be fun to pilot, but i think i'd root for the giant organic life forms who, after all, were only defending their lives, their homes, and the planet itself. even if they did trash a few cities in the proccess. (never was all that much fond of cities myself either).

Well, the movie is more focused around a portal opening from a far away world and the Kaiju (as they're called in the movie) are basically here to destroy human life and move on.

So uh... makes it hard to root for them. :P

Good is an understatement. Probably the best film I've seen/will see all year.

well you know the movie Avatar The Last Airbender it wasn't good for me because they put too much special effects but this movie it was perfect with the story and action. also I like the movie poster too
