If someone refuses to stand on their own and contribute they do not deserve the pity or assistance they receive and are taking you for a fool or a servant. You are neither. Desperation is a better motivator for some people, and when positive reinforcement cannot motivate, sometimes you need to use the opposite. Those without capital or skills have to take what they can get -that's business and life. I could wholly understand if this guy was a nationally known professional gamer making big bucks but odds are he isn't. I am a hardcore gamer and I work 50 hours a week running numbers in #excelnam

Doing the right thing isn't always the smart thing. You're doing the right thing, good on you for taking the high road. I'd have told him to live on the streets or sent him home if i were you. I have no mercy for worthless people.

The fact of the matter is that Ricky's parents kicked him out of their house after he finished college. He was my roomie in my first year of college when he was in his last year. His parents had him packin' a week after he finished. He had no where to go. So, bein' the social and nice person I am, I told him he could stay in my apartment...five years ago. But the fact is, he's nothin' without me. He doesn't have anywhere to go if I were to kick him out. And I can't do that because then I'd feel like a total righteous dick. And I don't want to feel like I'm bein' a total righteous dick to him. Besides, he's 27. It's high time he started his life down the right road. Bein' his roomie, I gotta help him get a job so he can help ME pay the bills. He might think that I'm bein' an asshole right now, drivin' him around lookin' for places with help wanted signs, but he'll come to thank me later. That's for sure.
