Story or Bio?

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them."
-William Shakespeare
As I can't really introduce a new character with an image, which method of introduction would you prefer? An introduction story that uses narrative to explain the major aspects of the character in a natural narrative, or a straight up character bio that lays out the details in a straight forward explanation, either as simple informative or flavored by a personal perspective. I've got a few character kicking around that I'd like to introduce to FA, but I'm not really sure how to go about it, so I thought I'd get your thoughts.
A story is likely to be a more interesting read, but I can't likely put all the pertinent, and some of the potentially oddball, facts in there without it sounding contrived, and while a character bio may give all the information, it may not be all that appealing to sift through, especially when there's no image to tie it with.
So, thoughts?

On FA, writing is largely underappreciated, so it won't really matter if you have a good picture or not, because with bios or not, people will only fave the image. Thus, because I don't bother with having a "audience" because for me, there is no real audience on this site.
I'm also a great believer in letting characters tell their story. Bios are good, but when I try to write them they always feel like an 'info-dump'; when a character relates what happened in their life, it just 'feels right'. That's all I can say. I've been working on a story, for example, and it's in the first person, and even 35K words in the main character hasn't described herself --- but then, from her perspective, she doesn't really have to, so it makes perfect sense. To me, anyway.
I think you should do what feels right, and what you want to do.
