This game rocks!
My first impression of it was kinda meh... it's not the kind of game that grabs you from moment one. But give it a chance and learn how to play, and it's a freaking blast.
It's a weird little concept for a game. You control a little RC car and play socker with other RC cars by hurling yourself at the ball to knock it around. The game uses the Unreal engine and it's all physics simulation.
IGN hates it. But when don't they down play any game exclusive to the PS3? Heh. They gave it a 6.5, and their readers gave it an 8.9. Oops. Frankly, the IGN review reads like the author barely even tried the game, which seems all too common in reviews these days.
Gone are the days when reviewers could be relied upon for honest and diligent opinions. Now they just seem to spend all their time pissing and moaning about any game that has any level of actual challenge to it or which is on a platform they don't want to support.
Heck, IGN gave PAIN a similar score. Those biased fuckers.
Anyway, I'm really hoping others will get this game so I can play with them. It's only $15 bux. This should be a really good party game I think. It can be played online, spit screen, and online splitscreen (like Warhawk... so you can have combinations of local and remote players together at once).
Gah. Between this and Wipeout HD, I'm particularly addicted to my PS3 lately.
Edit: For anyone that wants to add me, I'm Skant on the PSN. Just mention you're from FA in the add request (I don't add total strangers).

FA+

RC car soccer huh? I'll have to look up videos :P
I used IGN even back when they first started. They never charged for codes or faqs at any point, there was a membership though which let you download a bunch of stuff. All you had to do was click the "continue without registering" link though for the faqs and stuff. They also used to be THE news source for games, where you could find tons of videos and thumb-nails for a game even years after everyone else dropped them. I stopped using them as soon as Kotaku came around though. Still, sometimes IGN gets really good exclusive interviews.
Think we've argued this one before.
The modern version is a little more goofy and cartoony. If I remake that version though I'll put up a video so you can see it. :)
In your avatar, she appears to have nipples. But not actually so? I wonder if it's possible to do a version with... ;)
