Under certain circumstances, yes.

I would dislike not having you as a friend. Does that count?

This has several implications, most of which would not excite you because you seemingly lack the necessary hormones.
That said, in any manner of seriousness possible, I understand your hesitation on all things related to hugging and whatnot. No offence taken here, but I suppose you can expect that from me, I'd like to think.
I also extremely appreciate answers 10 and 14. It means a relative amount of 'a lot' to me. ^_^

My thought was that we could relate to each other with how much we used self-deprecating humor. That and we could have some intelligent conversations. Despite this, I was a bit anxious with how things would go.

Not if you didn't like it for any reason.

In some way prose stories (books). Not always but it comes with certain image connections (e.g. thinking about Octavia being fat while browsing for books in a store)
