I need opinions people!!! help!!!

I know I need to learn more and really want to learn more about digital art and get better at it. I was thinking about going to The Are Institute in Dallas or Fort Worth.
here is the thing. I have heard A.I. is both a bad and good school. soooo, if anyone has attented or is attending a A.I. anywhere let me know how it is, do you like it?
If you are around the Dallas area and somehow found a different school to help develop your artistic ability in digital art and is a good school can you tell me where it is???
OR should I just keep practicing on my own and see what happens?? I really need advice and opinions so please please.. let me know,

I thought about attenting the A.I. in Fort Worth. I would recieve a lot of their promotional material and I had a few of their financial people call me, but in the end I never did anything about it. I know it can be really expensive to get in and if you're anything like me, a 'school' environment isn't really the place to do the best learning. That's a little wierd to say, but I've always been self-taught, so I'm not much help with this ^^'

no no no, any opinion is helpful thank you. As you said it is $$$ and picking a school and taking up that much time..i want to be sure before I jump in
