They called the DS a "dead system" and that was why they weren't releasing "Ace Attorney Investigations 2" in the U.S.--I, myself, signed two massive petitions to Capcom, even asking for just a Virtual Console download. But it would "cost too much" to translate it, they said. (Yet, they released "Okamiden", which was also a DS game with a lot of dialogue.) Then there was "Layton vs. Gyakuten"--the Ace Attorney/Professor Layton crossover game on the 3DS...they flat-out said they weren't going to do it. And Level-5 couldn't do it on their own (because of U.S. copyrights and stuff). Now, after promising "Ace Attorney 5" would come out in the U.S. (3DS game)...they're saying they're probably NOT going to bring it over now. They've given up on the AA brand here in the U.S., because they say there "aren't enough fans" in the U.S. to support it.

Yep...they care only about the "Street Fighter" brand and "Biohazard" (Resident Evil) brand. Sometimes (though more in Japan than the U.S.) the "Monster Hunter" series gets lots of love, too. But a series that made them known around the world (Rockman/Mega Man)...? Nope, they're letting him die a painful death while fans stew in hatred for Capcom.

It wasn't like the "Ace Attorney" series was ever translated well, either...there were so many grammatical and spelling errors in the game it was ridiculous. But I would've put up with a crappy translation...as long as it was released here.

I'm pretty surprised we haven't made another NEW VERSION of "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" yet--since they redid the thing to add like Phoenix Wright in there (as if to mollify the "Ace Attorney" fans). *laughs*

It's a game that was from the development team at Capcom who made the "Ace Attorney" series--you played as a guy freshly killed, trying to solve his own murder. As a ghost he can possess things, which you do to solve puzzles. The Pomeranian is only in the game a little bit, but it's such an iconic design it got used in a LOT of the "Ghost Trick" advertising.

I think it's a pretty popular idea for paranormal stories, too. What makes each one unique is how each person tells the story of the dead guy.
