debating on MFM

wondering if I should even bother with getting a table at Mephit Fur Meet. the last couple of years, there was hardly any traffic in the dealer's room and not much in the way of sales. granted, I don't have to pay for travel but not sure I want to spend the time. this is not saying anything bad about the convention itself, just not sure it's the best venue for me.

Two, last year you were not here, now you are, so you will get traffic, especially if you announce it well in advance that you will be there and have a table. Plus if you are there, you will get more exposure. If you aren't there, new people can't find you.
Three, no two conventions are alike. I have seen the same convention go up and down like a rollercoaster sales-wise. Certain conventions that lack the attendance or have a proven history of slow/poor sales I avoid. Depending on the con, I give most 3 tries, if no improvement in 3 cons...no more attend. Only 2 cons I've been to just once I haven't returned to cause how I was either treated or how it was run.
Key thing is to ask yourself, especially since its in your backyard, have you better things to do that weekend? Or shall you take a risk and try and make some money?
Be glad you didn't have happen to you what I went through last year, getting seriously ill first day of the con, lasting into the next day and feeling like crap the third til the afternoon.
Right now I hope to get to the con, lost a regular roomshare/ride thanks to a blown up central air/furnace unit costing him a ton to replace. And the second roomshare/ride backup is questionable due to his job playing hell with him.
I do like MFM, its not a boozecon like the bigger ones are. Plus the new location is a Godsend compared to the older location near the airport which was all ghetto.
Besides, I still plan on going and have a 750 mile road trip, so that should tell you something.
