Well, Nagai did sign off on this...though how much of that had to do with his "vision" and how much had to do with ¥¥¥, we will never know (though, since it seems to lack the Nagai flair, I'm leaning towards the latter being a major factor). Yours are the more interesting characters by far: these are more or less just the usual cute-anime-girl stereotypes—genki girl, hikkikomori, relentlessly pleasant girl (though the "villains" seem to have more amusing quirks than the Mazingers). I will award some points for the one girl talking with her hand puppets, and the little guy with a hammer ringing a screaming girl's uvula like a bell.

i honestly don't think he actually read/watched this, they probably just handed him some concept art and gave some kids a chance to have some fun.

that said i REALLY hope he gets a chance to give the world his opinion on it.

All style, no substance. The only thing going for it is that it's a fully realized anime... if Daikaiju Academy was ever made into a cartoon/anime, characters like Zoe or Maisy would be far more interesting to watch in action!

Plus, your characters have backstories, which is why the characters in this anime short are interesting, but in the end don't hold a candle to your creations!

Not sure they made Great-tan a narcoleptic. I don't recall seeing her fall asleep at all. It does seem like she was pumped full of sedatives or something.
