Tattoo to cover self harm marks huh. I had often thought of getting a tattoo on my upper left or right arm but I feel like that would just make my scars stand out even more. Interesting idea though. What sort of design are you thinking?

I should have worded it better, its both to cover it up and I guess showcase them, because im trying to get over that part of my past/self, and realize it doesnt make me horrible or a bad person. Tattoos can go over scars, but it will be an extremely painful process and yes, there will be visible marks if someone looks. But that being said, tattoos pressed to hard caused raised marks as well.

I have two tattoos already, but this one would need to curl under my left thumb, trace up the flat of my wrist. So I was thinking since I am a big science fiction fan and creature lover I was thinking a very colorful kraken, using one of the scars as the creatures eye or a bump on its 'head'. Have its tentacles curling up the arm then.

Ahh, sounds like a cool idea! I always wanted a dragon tattoo but never really thought to actually do it, nor really where to put it or how I'd want it to look.
