Ahhh yeeesh. I'm in my second year japanese class now, and still have issues with number days.
the weekdays aren't too bad.
I forget the tips they gave us x.x

weekdays all have the same ending.

Sunday: にちようび
Monday:　げつようび
Tuesday: かようび
Wednesday:　すいようび
Thursday: もくようび
Friday: きんようび
Saturday: どようび

so you only really have to focus on the beginging of the words.

I know for the 14, 20, and 24

the first part of the numbers is using the parts of the number 10 and 20
but goodness. I always wonder where yoka came from for 4

but for sure I'll let you know if I figure it out.

It was a one hour per week class this last year, but now, I try to keep it up with private tuition twice a week.

but I'm ending up doing self study while she's in class since I don't have time for the class since I'll be graduating.

that's cool your keep with it though with twice a week and studying. Its pretty much one of the languages you need to study for or you'll forget it.

Well, I'll be more than happy to have proper pen pal to speak Japanese, because speaking it is training for sure!

I know in class they would tell us that speak it often. we even took a trip down to a local area that they only spoke japanese so we had no choice but to speak it while we went shopping x.x so cruel

I went myself to japan, five years ago, for three weeks, but I didn't know how to make a correct sentence, this was great XD

I moved a lot, from Tokyo to Sendai, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Amanohashidatte, nara and so much more. Except for Tokyo and Kyoto, I've never spent more than two days in each city, and I've stayed there for three weeks! ;)

No... Summer is like hell in Japan.

I went here from late April to mid May... but I missed the cherry blossom u_u

wah is it really? I know my teachers always talked about going to their homes and family in japan and the summer fesitval is nice.

but ooohh that's a good time. I was going to say the cherry blossoms are blooming around that time.
