So ive had a few people recently trying to get either free artwork from me, or something from an art trade that far outweighed there half and I refused to do it, so making a little journal about my rules when it comes to art trades, and free artwork.

Ill cover art trades first, I dont really do many art trades anymore, If you ask me I will more than likely say no, mainly because im usually busy doing commisioned work, or sitting on my lazy ass, I literally get up in the morning and work on artwork untill I go to bed at whatever ridiculous time, Its become my job and I just dont really have the time to do art trades unless I dont have many commisions at the time, so basically, dont be offended if I say no as id love to do more art trades I just dont have the time espcially with going back to college. Im also not being funny, but if I do do an art trade with you, it would be wrong of you to expect the same level of detail and work in my artwork as if you brought it. Im more likely to just do sketches or headshots rather than a full picture, I try and keep it balanced to what the person did for me.
For example, last night I had someone ask me for a full picture with 4 charecters and a background for our art trade, now thats £13 worth of artwork from myself and would take a good few hours, as you can see in my gallery I have done art trades that big before, because I got the same back and the person who I was doing it with has been a good freind of mine for a year now. The person who wanted this had only drawn me a very small picture of a very simple charecter, and im being honest, it didont look amazing, not that I judge on artistic merrit, hell some of my best freinds started by just colouring lineart and now there much better than me. Just be realistic in what you ask from someone in an art trade yeah.

Okay next is onto free artwork, im gunna be honest I dont get asked for this a lot, but I have had a few people ask me for free artwork, I used to do a lot of free artwork over on devinatART, thats when I worked for like...2 points which its 80 points to a dollar so its beyond nothing anyways. This is my buisness and my income, I cant take time out to draw you free artwork, Im sorry if you ask ill most likely get angry with you and tell you to shove of as I find it really rude, unless you know the artists does free work like my freind  NekoJester (who is doing an awesome free art prodject at the moment which you should check out) But I dont, I do very rarely do gifts for very close freinds of mine like  kaiblader and  KarmaDragoTatsu because I literally see these people as family and have done so much for me that we have like a forever ongoing art trade.

Basically dont be cheeky and try and take artists for granted, for a lot of people this is there job/life/passion and for you to try and be like oh draw me something free is very rude, I only do free artwork if I go out and do it because I want to, not because you ask,

End rant im sorry about being a bitch there, anyways in other news getting a commision from  toddlergirl very soon which is going to be a very cute reskell, dont wanna say anymore yet, and im taking preorders for the Leeds furmeet on the 17th, ill be suiting and hope to see you there :DD
