Vacation Fallout and whatnot

Who ever thought a reindeer could be so much more...
Hey all, back from CA for almost a week now and just thought Id through up a little update (for those 2 of you that likely read these).
I did get to meet up with
imbarzaylicious on Thursday after getting in. We hung out and got to talk/meet up face-to-face for the first time and I definitely had a good time heh. There was a bit of a miss-communication on sleeping arrangements/time tables but all in all the next few days were restful at the very least. I happened to be in the area to attend a local fur-meet (called a "Frolic") which wasn't all that bad. I was a bit on the quite side but did get a little sketching in and did watch the whole event (I've always ended up in the "people watcher" sort of role rather than the life of the party heh). I did meet a few people there but I was dumb and didnt write down names/FAs so I can only say it was nice to meet everyone that I did talk to and such >.<
One of the days I got a good foot trekk through San Fransisco (seeing the seals of Pier 39, riding the 1920's rail car down Market Street, eating dinner in the Castro), then I spent an afternoon in Muir woods on Sunday which was beautiful. I'll be honest, it was a little bit of a bummer to visit/sight see alone at times but I made the best of it. It was good to be away from the normal grind of life, to get to sleep in every day there, to do what I wanted, when I wanted with no schedules to keep. As Im sure everyone feels, it certainly was to short haha.
But at the same time, it's good to be back at home in a way. We are creatures of habit afterall and while the routine/grind can get a bit taxing at times, it just feels good to know what to expect at others.
On the homefront I've been back at the grind for a few days and such with nothing spectacular to report of late. I did hit up a post-furmeet party at
xoven's this weekend which was a surprise (only heard about it right as I got home from work). More sketchings to be had and games and drinks and whatnot.
Ive managed to hit the gym up twice this past week after not going since the tuesday before my trip which felt good indeed. Actually, given as much walking as I did on the trip along with not really eating a ton (just wasnt super hungry and being by myself I kind of lost track of any semblance of a "normal" eating schedule haha) I actually lost 5lbs Planning to try and keep the food intake down to more manageable levels and tone down the fastfood/empty calories even more if possible (I say after 3 of the last 5 meals Ive had have been from fastfood >.<). Ive worked more Interval training into my workouts so I'm looking forward to seeing how that changes things.
I suppose this is as good a place as any to stop. Though I have been doing a fair bit of thinking of late, about life in general, those around me, how I see myself and how I feel others see me (or don't... but that's another topic). Maybe I'll toss up some introspection here for noone to read .... god I feel like a hipster saying that
So yeah... commissions back in motion, slowly, but surely (as the two postings tonight should attest). Hoping I can keep the motivation in gear and not let procrastination take hold as much as it seems to have lately.

San Francisco has always been one of my favorite place, always lots to see and lots to do, always have furrys
Didn't know it was anything more special than a regular Furmeet like our own humble engagements each month.
