Back in black, y'all! (Graduated and the comeback)
General
*I posted up on DA a while ago, but I figured I'd give more thought here.*
I've recently graduated (more like 2 weeks ago) with a major in Studio Art and a minor in PR. Ultimately it's a mixed feeling. Like, on one hand, I'm very much glad to be done with school indefinitely. After 5 years, and 2 Academic probations (very much lucking out on that second one), I fought against all odds and completed something.
On the other hand, it feels like there's really no instant glamour to it outside the pride of it all, probably because I wont be walking until December. I just turned in my final exam, walked out of my last class, packed up my dorm, flew home (currently in Europe atm), and am just chilling in the house either trying to draw and filling out job applications. Who would've thought one would have to do more work after so much work to begin with?
But it's all good. I finally get to leave a middle of nowhere college town I had to come back to for, again, 5 years. I also get to go to events I couldn't otherwise due to school, AND I finally have more time than I know what to do with to work on projects.
This also means I have a bit more time to interact with folks around here. I feel like I've all but ditched a few friends around here (sorry about that), and I do wanna become more active person on this site, rather than JUST submit pics and run away. :V
I think that's about it. Also, there's gonna be a fair amount of submissions coming y'all's way!

Congratulations on graduating! Hopefully you'll get something nice with it, or at least a job that grants some more insight/experience.
And in Europe? Neat. Enjoy the more expensive currencies and higher taxes! >:3
There doesn't have to be glamour. Feeling successful or at least the weight off your back is all the glamour you really need. If you feel you deserve more, you might stub your toe on your ego. XD
I noticed the pictures. They look a little 'sketchier'. It might just be the same old you do, but the stark white seems to bring out the real... cursiveness of even the straighter lines.
Also, what's with the sassy girl avatar? Ya'll got swag? XP
And I've been to Europe before, so this is nothing new. One positive thing about the taxes here is that, at least they're immediately included with prices. Not that I buy enough stuff to begin with. But less math is always good. V:
Oh yeah, I didn't mean to sound egotistical. I guess it was just a matter of not knowing what to expect after so long. So now that nothing's happening, things just kinda feel off.
And those sketchy pics were more from a sketching spiel back on tumblr a couple of months back.
Also, this avatar was from a friend I did an art trade with. There is another, less sassy one, but I'm having trouble uploading it atm.
Just because big things don't with a fireworks show doesn't mean they're not big and important. ^_^
And it's very neat, that picture!
Also, I'd love to say hi :)
Actually, they both sound good. V:
I'd recommend keeping your eyes on the alternate account, since that's where I regularly take commissions now. Assuming you haven't seen that account yet.
Jobs will come, just be patient with them, in the meantime, how the heck are we going to catch up, now that you live across the pond?!
And I'll be back in the US in a few months. As for chatting, I'm personally a fan of notes, but I'm also trying to find a good chance to get back on Skype.
Now imma gonna pounce and hug the stuffing out of you! *hugs*
Very happy to hear you managed the graduation, surely wasn't an easy task. How will things go further for you? Already any plans?
At this very moment, I have some ideas, but not really any plans. As much as I pushed to graduate by Summer as opposed to the end of Fall, I didn't account being thrown into the real world 5 months early. :X
Step Number 2) take a day off and try to realize your next goals
Step Number 3) make even more steps how to reach them!
But seriously, those are some good ideas.
And these steps were what I did after finding myself thrown into the open.
Small steps are easier to acquire than big steps and makes you less depressed if you don't manage to fulfill.
All in all the better idea~
