I have one question and one question only.....
WHY YOU GOTTA BE SO DAMN EXPENSIVE KALONIAN HYDRA!!!!!????
wanting to build a kalonian hydra/corpsejack menace jund colors deck but i dunno whether i should break down and buy 4 hydras :<
here is the drafting if anyone wants to take a look. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/corpsejackd-hydra/
anything in main deck is almost for sure, anything in side deck is either sided or potential maindeck stuff that i cant decide where to put. land balance has not been started yet
COMMENTARY WELCOME!
Your curve is wacky. I would suggest dropping burst of strength, flesh // blood, and corpsejack because you are really going to end up swinging for lethal more often than getting amassing +1/+1.
Burst of Strength doesn't save a creature most of a time (doomblade / oblivion ring / supreme verdict), and is really only a makeshift vigilance with a marginal upside. Consider replacing with Ranger's Guile, or Giant Growth.
Flesh // Blood will only have you "winning" if you're already winning. If you're playing such large creatures, why not just swing with them, and let that card become a card to protect them? Ghor-Clan Rampager will end up allowing the same type of win, but it will also become a combat trick, and a body when you need it.
I mainly have a problem with Corpsejack Menace because your deck will be hurting trying to assemble all the different colored mana you need. I would cut black, and focus more on red, or do the opposite.
I would honestly go Naya so you can do 4 Mystic, 4 Pilgrim, 4 Farseek, and smoosh them with the Hydra plus "Not Quite Armadillo Cloak". turn 4.
i did order a few more ghor clans as well because i cant decide on if i want to go gruul or golgari more.and i dont have shocklands yet. ill wait to see what theros dual lands loo like before i invest in 10 dollar land cards. now that you mention it i might side deck flesh and blood. though i can see flesh and blood being infinitely useful in those long multiplayer games where everyone CAN kill another player but wont due to it leaving them open to attack. getting hydra up to 24/24 in one attack with corpsejack then hitting some other guy with blood will be amazing lol and i know burst of strength wont save a creature. its meant as a combat trick and cheap counter giver. i have golgari charm for saving my creatures from destruction. i wouldnt drop black just cause golgari charm is so good in this deck
Also note that corpsejack doesn't let the hydra start with 8, as it enters the battlefield with the counters rather than having them put on the creature.
TBH, I would invest in land rather than a creature, because it's far more useful more often. You land is what gates you for play, and making that more consistent can bring a deck's power level up considerably. The shock-lands are also very valuable if you ever wish to play modern.
There will be little to no dual lands in Theros as a whole (it's got a mono-color theme), and there are no dual lands in the first block. Also, because the check-lands will be out of standard for the first time in AGES, it's highly suspect that near the end of theros there will only be the shock lands for duals, and rampant growth if we're lucky.
I will let you in on a secret—there will be a cycle of dual lands in Theros block. I can't tell you anything else about them yet, but I am very excited about them. Releasing the dual lands in that set will let us better control how Standard plays out, and will let us create a better experience for Theros block, which will in turn improve Theros-"Huey" Standard."

I imagine our next ramp spell would encourage either more basics, or be an explore.
I've honestly been playing commander more than standard, and when I did run standard, I was playing something like this: http://www.channelfireball.com/home.....oor-thragfire/
About your deck, I personally think it lacks synergy... I'd think a bit more about the cards you have. And yes, Ranger's Guile is an awesome card.
If I were myself I'd think to make it Green/Blue/Red because of Simic!
