I totally support the idea of you making a Kickstarter for you're project, however I think the secret to making a successful campaign is having the right material to promote such as BETA footage, example videos of the animation or gameplay. Lots of art work to give people a taste of what kind of direction the project is going in. Because personally I never back a project if it's just some guy TALKING about what he's working on, doesn't give me a taster of what to expect when I part with my hard earned cash : p

So be sure to make a quick example of a promo video and let people see it to give you decent feedback before launching a Kickstarter campaign ; )

Or he could make a youtube video and ask for $200,000 to make a mobile app or ask for $100,000 so you can sit on your arse and make like 3 of a 12 part series of videos where you just steal lets plays and cite wikipedia... Oh wait people have all ready done that XD.

So yeah unless you are super popular you will have to work hard to get your backing with footage and little examples of your idea.

I am with pilli on that one. I dont even have the right tools to make animations or even game footage. D: The only "footage" I have is of a beta level I made in Game Maker which is very mediocre and low budget.

Ah I see, I have no idea what kind of access you have to development software so I was kind of in the dark there : p well LOADS of promotional art it is then ; B

What I'm gonna do first is try to get out at least a level of gameplay as a preview of what the game will be like. I'll have to make it look high budget even though it is low OTL. I'm working with stone tools right now lol.
