fantastic weekend with the most wonderful boyfriend ever!

Just as the title says! My baby and I had an amazing weekend that started Friday night with pizza hehe. Ham and roasted onions make a good pizza, yum! Clyde also got me a new memory card for my camera with cute deer on it that I love!! Saturday my love had to work half a day which sucked :( but I surprised him with a doodle and then we went out for a little and ran a couple of errands like we went to Home Depot and then spent the night enjoying each others company :). Sunday we woke up early to go out to breakfast with Clyde's aunt and uncle and ate at a restaurant called JD's we had a BLT it was good and we got to socialize with good people and enjoy looking at their classic cars. :) after my baby took me out to the range for the first time! I was a little nervous lol never shot a pistol before. Was really jumpy at the gunshots at first lol but got used to them and got to shoot the .380 and I don't think I was very good I just aimed and Clyde said I was great lol. He was WAY better than I was I would not wanna be on the end of that gun in his hands O.O.. We also got to shoot the 10/22 for the first time it was FUN!! That gun is just like shooting off a BB gun just a little plinker lol. That one you wanna shoot over and over and it is easy to go through 100 rounds of ammo like it's nothing lol. The only thing that was a little annoying at first was the cases flying from the guy next to us, he was shooting a 45 if I remember right and they kept flinging over the little wall and hitting us. Then when he was getting ready to leave he dropped his 45 and I was like oh shit! Thank god it wasn't loaded that made my heart go up to my throat.. The 10/22 cases kept pinging off the wall and hitting us lol I got hit in the neck and one got stuck in the crook of Clyde's arm and caused a little surface burn but he was ok. :) I can't wait to get my 9mm and I can't wait to shoot again lol. After we went to Rita's and got mistos which are Italian Ice with Gelati mixed together. He got a good one I think it was Mango Pineapple and I got one too that was like Guava, pineapple and coconut or something they were both awesome! We then went to Batteries Plus, Staples and then to get ice cream and we got a new flavour with a cute Alligator on it it is dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake flavoured.. Awesome.. Monday I did my housework and made my baby lunches for the week but I had to go home which always makes me sad. But I get to see my babe again Friday and I can't wait!!!!!!! I don't know what we will do this weekend but I do know when I am with Clyde it is going to be amazing! I love you baby and I will for eternity!! My heart and soul will always be yours. :) <3 <3

sounds like a great weekend! I have never shot at a range like that I have always been out in the woods somewhere or in a sand pit.

OP
Oh it was! :) lol well ya can't really do that here haha. The woods aren't very thick here and are rather sparse most of them being scrub pine forests we have the occasional giant oak forests too but they are usually nature preserves and trails. We have outdoor ranges where I think they are like a sand pit. I know the one the boyscouts used here were like that and I think the one by the junkyard here is like that too. The indoor range is nice though. It's hot when you aren't in the booth up to shoot because of the people and the guns but they have a huge vent blowing on you when you are shooting which is nice lol. I need to get some anti-fog glasses though I found out lol and eventually get my own muffs too the ones at the range kept slipping and hitting the top of my jaw because they were too big.

its nice to have your own ear muffs so they fit just right. I have never shot at an indoor range before

Zamdor

OP
Yea I like Clyde's muffs because they adjust and they seal around the ear and they only sell them for 26.00 I think at Ruger. I like the indoor range lol I think the outdoor range would be better here during the winter lol. My next purchase will be a concealment purse though since I need a good purse and I plan on concealing my gun so perfect lol.

Goat37
~goat37
that sounds like a good idea to me. I need to get a better holster to conceal mine right now I cant conceal my pistols in summer because the only way I can do it is to have a jacket on

Zamdor

OP
Lol wouldn't wanna get on your bad side if that was the case! Being a larger woman the majority of ways to conceal your gun wouldn't work for me and the ways that work for the plush lady I don't really like so I plan to keep mine in my purse. I don't mind paying the 70.00 for a good purse especially since I am tired of almost losing my wallet and having to make sure it is there on a regular basis. It would just be easier to get a holster that will last a good 15-20 years thanks to good ol TRUE american craftsmanship and genuine leather (also from the U.S.)

Goat37

lol dont worry your not on my bad side :) I would pay a little extra for a real holster too its just not worth having something you dont know if you can put your trust in

Zamdor

OP
Oh yea totally. I wouldn't trust those thin holsters with the netting on them. The concealment purses usually come with a good holster which is nice, and a plus with the price they come with a nice thick holster, the leather ones can be nice too. I can't stand the crotch holsters though lol I have NO clue why any male or female would want to keep their gun there...

Goat37
~goat37
I don't know why anyone would keep a gun there lol. I have one leather one with a big leather belt on it that puts one of my revolvers on my hip and I have a smaller one that holds the gun under your arm. I also have one I got at a gun show that just sort of wraps around your chest and holds the gun but its just a tight piece of cloth that olds the gun to your side so I don't know if I like that last one.

Zamdor
~zamdor
OP
I don't either! Same as in your bra for women oh HELL no lol. That to me is just.. no.. lol. I like the hip ones but I am a chubby doe so I can't really keep one there because of my curves. I like the old fashioned Private Eye style ones too those are neat lol. But yea cloth I wouldn't put much faith in it will wear faster than leather. I do like the tough nylon ones that have plenty of padding and hold the gun securely and also have the straps to help hold them and the metal clips. The purses at the shows have those in them sans the metal clip though.

Goat37
~goat37
my under the arm holster is kind of like that nylon type its okay but I still want a better one. my cloth one did start to wear out fast and I did not really use if for all that long even. I dont think I have seen any of those purses at any gun shows here but it does seem like a really good idea for a women to carry. I really don't see the point to the bra thing lol.

Zamdor

OP
Ahh I gottcha. I like those and the molded metal/plastic mix but on your hip. In my opinion those are safest. Really? They sell them all the time here definitely a good investment. And no not at all why spend so much money on a gun then keep it in/near your bra? Uh.. That means moisture.. Last time I checked guns and moisture don't mix too well lol.

Goat37
~goat37
I like some of the metal / plastic ones too. I think I want to get a second leather one though they seem to be my fave so far. they might have the purses here and maybe I just have not seen them because its not something I would be looking for lol but now I will need to check next time I am at a show. yeah moisture is sure not a good thing for guns I need to clean and re oil mine the one I carry is starting to get rusty because its in my car all the time.

Zamdor

OP
Yea they are nicely made. That is cool how much do they run usually? Lol yea that is true. Nope and it is just stupid to put the gun by breasts/pits since uh yea you do sweat there.. lol. How often do you clean it? Clyde just cleaned his and I got to watch and help it was neat :).

Goat37
~goat37
I am not sure what they might cost I have not looked at holsters in a while and my leather one I like a lot came with one of the revolvers I bought so I don't know what it cost. I want to say I got my nylon one for between $40 or $50. I need to be careful how much I look at gun things when I need to save money because when I see things I like I buy them lol. most of the time I clean my guns after I take them out to shoot and if they sit around for too long I will wipe them down and re oil them. however I don't clean my carry revolver as much as I should since its always out with me. that's cool its neat to see how they come apart and go back together when you clean them.

Well when the police take a minimum 10 minutes in this Country to respond to a call.. I would rather protect be able to protect my family if the need (god forbid) ever came up. That and I find them to be good for recreation. But that is my opinion, I respect your opinion and am happy to acknowledge it as well my friend. :) my home has been broken into and it scarred me a little because they were sneaking around the house when I was home and the window they broke into for the longest time I would not even go by it. I slept with the lights on in my room for a three months I was so scared. To have that safety knowing if I have something to protect my family with and not have to go through that feeling again is a good one. We have also had a man jump our fence and run through the backyard before too.. So yeah.. lol.
