Yes that is true. I'm pretty sure there will be similar products developed to fill the needs. Man I used to think Galaxy note 2 is over priced, but this wacom price tag makes everything looks cheaper lol.

Yeah that Yiynova looks interesting. Unfortunately they only sell Hanvon and Genius digitizers here (Genius is downright horrible), but I'll keep my eyes and ears for this particular product. Thanks Scott!

well, living in Indonesia, that's quite a hefty shipping price, and surely no service shops either. Too risky for now. Galaxy Note 2 might be a more viable tool since there;s no lack of it here lol.

Active competition is always good for the consumer. So we shall see. As it is, I may end up with a yiynova, after a couple of good paying gigs as my Intuous is getting old, and Win 7 keeps deleting the WACOM Drivers.

Oh wacom does not have a 'price down' policy. It's a good thing for those investing in it though. You can still sell it as close to its current market price.

On the other hand, their build quality is lowering I think. My graphire 2 did not broke till now, while my friend's Bamboo often had problems in one year....

oh well, better start saving on my piggy bank ;3

read allot of wacoms of late start get a bit uneven in build quality, i defenetly wish some goes in and start to compete head on with wacom so we get some benefits on the market and not a monopoly, with wacom has been having all this time

yes i read that blog and so its more then hanvon taking em on, sadly idiots in the country decided it be a brilliant idea to raise the price on their products to same price as the wacom ones in the dimension and type, with is totally unfair.

Still surface pro and galaxy apparently seems really good, got to test a big galaxy tablet and felt nice, but i cant tell exactly as it had no good software on it (stock) and big center of it was unusable, suspecting the demo stand magnet holding it in place messed it up.

was so firmly in place i couldn't pull it of, as i was afraid i ruin it.

hoped more tablet makers dares to put on more buttons on the tablet and not act as its a cardinal sin, as those frame buttons really benefits artists for quick commands.

yeah the only problem with galaxy is that it's only fit as 'sketching pad', while I needed Manga Studio to work. The windows 8 Wacom would've been perfect except for the price lol... Well I'm hoping that the new generation of Tablet/notebook hybrids adapts good digitizers. Just needs to be patient lol...

I think a good solution would be to make better app. The schortcut buttons can be made inside the software, sort of like how D-Pads are done in games. having SAI quality programs would be nice as well, but the tablet would really need good processors...
