Yep, I've got freakin' gallery space!
Oh, and I'm gonna completely shatter a world record for giant origami this winter.

The origami thing would be cooler 'n' hell. I think I'm definitely gonna go for it, make it a promote the arts and crafts event, and get some attention for my own project at the same time. It's all about exposure after all. Oh, I think I'll fold the pterodactyle for a few reasons. First off, I haven't figured what the wingspan vs original paper size would be, should do that, but it'll be about 40% I figure of the edge size of the paper. So, if I use a piece of paper 37 feet on edge, it'll have a wingspan of about 15 feet or so. Now I'll have to look up how big those beasties really were. Would make an interesting addition to the museum here. Second reason... possibility of meeting Robert Lang? Now that would be a kick and a half as I'm a physics groupie.
Robert Lang, Robert Lang, where have I heard that name? Is he the physics gent from the commercials?
Would be nice if I had some frineds in the right circles, but I'm just gonna have to do the slogging all on my ownsome, but I've already got some folks asking me to make tails and one plushie.
The gent from the commercials is a slender-looking guy in his (very young-looking) fifties, with white hair past his ears who shows up in a car commercial- can't recall which one, though. I remembered the man, but not the product (I think it was for Saturn or Infiniti). He seemed like a neat guy, and it's even cooler if he's the same Lang you're referring to. Bonus that he's into origami, too. Paper-folding is definitely a physics thing!

Oooo, I would LOVE to see some WIP pics of what you're making, pleeeeease!!! I hate to admit when I'm floundering. No, I hate fish, I'm not floundering, but I'll always accept advice and value how-to-do-it pics from someone who knows.
Well, I'm far from an expert, I'll tell you that now. I make a lot of mistakes, and sometimes, it seems like every piece is me re-inventing the wheel. But I will definitely take some pix during and after! Did that with the tails I was making. Got a new one finished- that pic will go up soon.
Cool thing: when I delivered the finished tail to the customer at the Prancing Skiltaire (a fur meet house-hold down here- very cool place) I almost immdiately got another order for one from a gold dragon who loves them! i may have hit on a good thing, here. Half-way through Maliksr's plushie and pix will happen, indeed!
