Poetry Requests

Although I pride myself as a critic of art, I am probably better known as a casual writer of poems, more notably, those pertaining to birthdays or special occasions. As a rule, I only take requests and never commissions, since I certainly pity anyone foolish enough to send a cent on what I produce. Within that realm of request though, I do set some boundaries.
1. Iambic Pentameter and Haiku's are not my specialty. I can write them and well, but syllable counting and flow are notoriously difficult things to do, and I rarely go out of my way to include or limit myself by them.
2. Communication is a big part of this. Part of what makes writing these fun for me is talking to the party for whom the request was made. I will want to speak with you about your poem and get a feel for what you want or don't. As such -
3. I rarely have qualms about subject matter. Since I am talking directly with the requester, there is often a good chance that they will receive the only copy of the poem and no one else will see it unless they specifically ask otherwise. Feel free to ask about cute poems, naughty poems, serious or funny ones.
4. That said; I am often busy. Whether by intention or accident, I tend to have something to do which will not include bowing to the whim of people on a computer screen. Please understand that it is not apathy [all the time] that drives me to decline or ignore you, but rather a constraint in my schedule.
