Neck seems to be the norm but id prefer a high tec camera and lcd screen system. so theres no visable openings in the suit where you look out :)

DEFINATELY the neck is a better option. My first quadsuit ever was with vision in the mouth and OMG was it awful! You cant see ANYTHING whatsoever and if you do the mouth looks stupid....

With the neck, its so much more comforting

all my quads have been through the mouth with a little gap between the lower jaw and the neck fur.

i think vision through the neck leaves an ugly patch of mesh that looks bad. plus it seems that the head itself doesnt have as much fluid motion because they have to be built up on top of the helmet. it just doesnt look right to me.

my suits i try and have the mouth as closed as possible. AND with vision through the mouth it seems to allow more ventilation, with cooler air coming in and blowing straight on your face.

With my latest quad suit I have vision through the mouth and a small vision port through the neck as well.
That way you can see where your front leg stilts are & futher in front of you at the same time, great for when theres stairs or groups of people.

My decision was to have vision out of the horse eyes for maximum functional realism. The field of vision is good enough that i dont walk into major obstacles but i might add some kind of wideangle optic later. The head is up as far as my neck allows for some time.

Hmm, so some people are suggesting mouth is better for vision and ventalation, but really you can just set up a camera system for vision, plus my kyuubi has very large fans in the head because of the nek vision
