Game Streaming - No ground swell

Ground swell used in this manner means "Attention, fanbase growth, fame, etc"
Ever since that lone day I jumped up to 110 followers on my gaming stream (www.twitch.tv/jesterlupine), I haven't really seemed to make any more progress.
In the time between then and now I wasn't streaming half this time and went through the sad event of my headset breaking (plastic broke, headphone hung off) and the happy moment of fixing them (braced the broken section with a piece of metal bent to keep the original headset shape, a somewhat permanent fix).
Now I'm streaming again and have been for roughly a week, but I haven't really gotten more followers. I lost some and gained like two more, but it's sitting roughly around 113 followers. What am I doing wrong?
Hell, I even advertise in a few spots (IM status, chat links) but still not much. I can't even pass 5 viewers again. ~sigh~
This is fucking depressing. I need help, but no one seems to be willing to just toss my link around and help me. :(
