Hello, FBA Fans!

Thank you everyone who attended tonight's first ever FBA Draft Candidate Combine! NBA 2K13 did not disappoint, it was an exciting pair of matches (#2 much better than #1) that resulted in lots of great stats from all the Top 24 draft candidates.

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: While it is possible for one (or more) of these top 24 players to get passed up by all 48 picks of the draft, it is extremely unlikely. There's just no guarantee they'll be picked in the first round of 24 draft slots.

Great games and great list!!! First thing that strikes me looking at the top 24 is variety. In the first half we have centers, forwards, guards and everything in between, so it shouldn't be hard for teams that need a specific backup to find the right player to fulfill their needs. It is also a male-dominated draft, given that the two females who played in the combine kinda backfired and ended in the very bottom of the list. Congrats to everyone involved (and especially to my boy Alessandro Serra who ended at #15!)

BTW - what time did it start? I went to the site at 3pm Pacific (I'm in the same time zone) and ... I just didn't see anything.

Maybe it started late? Just wondering.

I actually watched the games delayed this morning, I'd tried to stay awake and follow but I had just come home from an important meeting and I was literally keeping only one eye open :(

I think Romanaren is deserving of 1st, but Tolliver was so dominant in the first game he could easily be the first pick. Suprised that Evan Marshall is quite so low on this list, I thought he looked very capable - but also very pleasantly suprised seeing Diego Imperio rise to tenth in the draft - he was a rabbit in the headlights in the first game, but in the second game is certainly started to warm up and calm down a bit.

Avian University of Hawaii at Manoa is becoming an unexpected powerhouse. If I'm not mistaken, this is their second year in a row with a graduate in the top 3. The dearth of centers in the pool really gave those that were available a chance to shine.

If I do make the meeting, it will have to be in Oregon.
I have two days of training in Woodburn and Sunday is a travel day.
I might go earlier in the day so I can attend when I arrive.

It was good to play, compete with the other candidates. Hoping to see great things from the other players! Me, well, great learning experience, and more practice shall be needed.

Exciting games, but game two was much better. Great way to start back into the swing of things and for us to get use to the new names that will hopefully return in a roster.

I won't be able to attend the GM Meeting at the start because every Sunday consistently I work until 5 PM PST. BTW, awesome Combine games, they really showed their stuff by the second one.

That would probably be great. I'm sure streaming audio will eat up less bandwidth than streaming video, and for that both I and my dad would be glad.

Looking forward to seeing how the "other" prospects match up against the top-24. It'll be interesting to see if any wild cards outpace their PR-friendly "elite" counterparts.
