Hello, everyone! I've been developing a syllabus for a color theory and value class, which is now complete, and I've done a run of the class with some friends to work out any last bugs and make sure it's a useful class!


I explain and demo some color theory, including color schemes, and the digital color wheel, and how this applies to value in coloring and painting, including different types of lighting.
Then I walk through my process coloring skin and fur, hair, and eyes, applying what we learned before.

In a nutshell, this class will teach you how to choose colors that work better together for a desired effect, and how to better create value, depth and form in your works, and, how I personally enjoy coloring the most.

Every range of experience with color theory and value welcome, beginners to more advanced.

*(This applies to the private class only): I do ask however that you already have experience with your drawing tablet and art program (I will be using SAI).

There are two ways this will work:
I will offer very exclusive, PRIVATE lessons, as well as more public lessons.

*The private lessons are for only two people at a time. They cost $75 each, but include scheduling at your convenience, and skype call with me. I will give my lecture and then ask for questions. Then I will send you each a lineart over skype to color with me, step by step. You can send me screenshots of your progress as we go, which is really helpful if something is confusing or not looking quite right, and just to make sure things are going correctly. Additionally, after the class, you have some 'homework' (you can opt out if you want XD), to color one of your own works applying everything you learned from the lesson, and I will critique it based on the syllabus. This class is two sessions, each two hours long.

Public lessons are for about 10 people at a time or less. The slots are only $20 each, but it's set at a specific time based on my schedule, and I will lecture with my voice on LS, but no voice calls from anyone attending - though of course you can still type things. I will give the lecture, and then give the walkthrough of my process coloring skin and fur, hair, and eyes, and take questions at the end. It's much less hands on, but you still get all the information for a fraction of the price. This class is one session, about two hours long.



As many of you probably know, I'm a fairly busy person, and with fall term starting up in just a couple weeks, I will probably only do these every so often. I will try to do one of each type (private and public) in the coming weeks, before classes start! I just need to get a good mic, and then I'll post, opening slots for the classes! :D
