Worst Customer Ever.

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to post a journal for some time. About the latest goings on, and to alter that I will have a bit of an art dump coming. I plan to still do BOTH of those, but this is fresh, so I need to just get it out xD
So, this is not to be whiny, though I’m sure it will be, simply to vent, and maybe get a chuckle out of you guys. I still enjoy my job, and I’m thankful most of the people I work with are pretty darn great. But this night…. My god, where to begin. Well first, I didn’t even know the extent of how terrible this all was. I was tormented at check out, but it turns out she was also causing trouble earlier. She was whining over returns, having to have things told to her three times, multiple managers dealing with her. Now I had seen this happen, but it didn’t come to mind that this was the same lady. Why? Because that happened 4 hours prior to me checking her out . There had been shift changes for as long as she was in the store.
Now, throughout those four hours, her kids had run ramped across the store. The candy near the register was wrecked, flash lights were thrown about, they were playing and screaming loudly for a long time, so long I thought it was some of the other kids that had come into the store. For a good 20 minutes, there was yowling of “I wwaaannntttt iiiiittt” Screaming, crying, the kinda of “Call a priest and the Ghost Busters, and calmly leave the now haunted store.” Kind of screaming and crying. She got the candy by the way.
Now they get to the register, I saw am empty drink they had earlier, empty ontop of our drink cooler, and brought it up, I have the strongest feeling that if I hadn’tof noticed it, that it never would have gotten paid for xD. So as she get’s to the register, she’s talking about in store coupons, one was for tissues, we sell a three pack, so she rips open the plastic there in, and we try to do them one at a time. Course we don’t sell them that way, and I had to call a manger to explain to her in three different ways, that there is no way we could take her coupon. Naturally she didn’t by them and we had to damage them out.
So as I’m checking her out, she is meandering, taking her time, as if she’s sorting them for a separate order, taking longer than anyone I’ve ever checked out, she left the register at least twice to get other things, I swear her check out must have nearly taken thirty minutes. Oh and she didn’t by any of the extra stuff she brought up, now that I think about it. She then pays with a prepaid card from her earlier returns, 50 in cash, and the rest on a credit card. That’s no big deal mind you, but at this point it’s just like….. Really?
And as she leaves, I’m handed a basket full of stuff she didn’t want for us to put back, and then she leave, twenty minutes before closing. She was slow, dense, cleary having no respect for the time of those around her, and had no control over her children. She wasn’t nasty mind you, but I would have almost preferred if she was. Those customers are pissed and want to get out, it can string, but only for a little bit. And you my thank I’m exaggerating, but honestly I think I’m leaving things out xD. So guys tell me, how does it stack up with what you have dealt with? Because I really think it’ll be a while before I find someone nearly as bad as her, she really pissed off just about everyone in the store x3. So yeah, WORST CUSTOMER EVER!
