Rather late Megaplex Journal

~It's not a game, I'm not a robot AI challenging you,
I'm not a phantom,
I'm in your face, and
I'm here to see it through
Right before your eyes,
Watch us multiply,
Come to claim our rights - it's time
As our power grows,
Tryin' to stop us shows,
Might as well go try'n stop time

So, I need to hurry up with this, or I’ll never get it out xD.
So, the build up to Megaplex was…. A bit insane. I wasn’t even sure I would go, but I asked for the time off. I did it the normal way, but one of the new mangers didn’t have access to that method, and opted for paper sheets instead. I learned this about a week or so before, but Donie hadn’t gotten the time off either, so I figured why bother? Well they decided to give him those days, oh, pretty much on Friday of the con. Well that made me want to kick a puppy xD. But, I managed to get covered for Saturday and Sunday, it cut my hours a bit, but by the end I said “Screw it, on Vacation, let’s go.”
So we got there a bit late, but it was a good start, we hung out in a… what I would say, casual cub room, I believe the guy running it, best put it as “Everyone keeping their pants on.” XD. But yeah, met some cool new people, played some games, Disney going on in the background, twas cool, we ended the night with dancing. I was a bit apprehensive, but I let go a bit more than usual at least. Next year, if I make it, I plan to give into the beat a bit more. Also get buzzed beforehand. I still haven’t been full on drunk, but I was at least braver about the idea of it xp.
So Saturday rolls around, and I’m still getting my bearings, lost, looking for pre registration, and I get invited to play some table top games, I choosing one called tower. I didn’t even win, but I have to say, I haven’t had that much fun, and laughed that hard since I don’t know when. I literally nearly fell over, and I thankfully ran into the two hosts a few times during the con. One was even a cub, small world huh? I’m ddeefeennttlyy hunting them out ahead of time, and gaming with them again.
And from there, it start to mesh a bit, a big cub meet up, as well as hanging in some already established friends room led to me meeting some great new people, and making some new friends, and I was pleased as punch to do so.
Sunday had a bit of bittersweet, as all cons do, but between some pool time fun, and a wondrous, magical Sushi dinner, I couldn’t have really asked for more.
It was one of the most on the edge of my seat, spontaneous things I can recall doing. And I’ll admit, it was no Anthrocon. If only for the already amazing close friends, and cool people that all gather there. But it was infinitely more affordable, and I am now extremely poor. Ideally I’ll one day have them both in my life, and a few extras. But for now, I had a good time, and I hope I can deepen the new bonds I’ve made there.
I still love you all, never forget that you are all a massive part of my life, and I only want to make it bigger and better. You guys have made me who I am, and I’m looking to keep moving forward ^w^
