Hello, FBA Fans!

Thank you everyone for coming to a very well attended FBA meeting! I think this one was productive, and a lot got covered!

Here are the highlights!

* The draft is being pushed back a week! I'll be attending Rainfurrest, so I'll need a weekend after my return to help prepare all the media for the event. The draft is now scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 13th-- unless there REALLY is a reason to have it on the 6th? I understand that New York comic con is happening the weekend of the 13th. What other conflicts might people have?

* The Galveston Sand Dollars are moving to Honolulu, HI! The votes were clear-- you guys want a team in Hawaii! Well, you got one! But now-- what do we call them? Another vote is needed, one to determine what this new team will be called!

On the short list of selections are:

* We have a TIE for where the Kansas City Clefs are going! Therefore, we need a run-off election. Now there are only two choices for the new FBA team. Where should it go?

- St. Louis, MO

* Potential retirements. These players have just completed their FBA contracts, and they've all played for 10 years or more. Should any of them choose to retire without giving the league a chance to give them a new contract? If you are the agent for any of these players, please get back to me with your thoughts!

* The new "3-2-3 Rule." Because of all the people who vanished last season or were totally unresponsive to requests, we are now instituting a new rule called "3-2-3". This rule will apply to all GMs and agents.

If someone needs to get a hold of a GM or agent to discuss a potential trade/storyline/etc. and can't get any response, that person can contact me. I'll then reach out to the contributor, asking for a response.

If I don't hear back in 3 days, I'll send a reminder. If I don't hear back in 3 days after the reminder, that GM/agent/whomever loses control of his or her team/player/etc. Control reverts to the commissioner, and we proceed off my decision.

If I do hear back from you in that time frame, good! But you only get 3 chances to go through this process. If someone has to come to me for a fourth time to get you to respond, you'll lose control of your team/player/etc. and the decision will be made without your help.

So remember!

- 3 times a year...
- ...you get 2 chances...
- ...to respond in 3 days. 3-2-3!

* Free Agency has begun! If you look up a free agent on WikiFBA, you'll find a button to click to submit a contract offer. Also, you're free to trade players/draft picks/cap space as you like with the other GMs. I don't have everything listed out yet on WikiFBA, but look for that in the near future! If you have any questions about the free agency process, just ask!
