My previous journal entry on here was about Krita Sketch, which was a touch based version of the Krita painting application, and which i helped build at my day job. Over the last couple of months we have been working hard on both optimising the Sketch code, to make it all run faster (something people reported as an issue before), and on a much more funky thing: Why have two separate applications, when you can have /one/ application which gives you both a traditional mouse/keyboard type user interface, as well as the touch friendly interface we built for Sketch? Well, Krita Gemini is exactly that :)
But, why take my word for it? Intel belived it enough that they not only paid for the development, they also showed it off on stage at their IDF 2013 event :) And even more so, how about seeing it in action? Well, certainly! Here's TImothee Giet showing us how it's done:
Finally, here you go for the official announcement (with download links and whatnot): http://krita.org/item/193-presenting-krita-gemini :D
PS: It's free. Yup, seriously. Completely free :)
