Electric Folding Mirrors Are Pointless
When you read this, keep in mind that I wasn't keeping anything in mind.
Every fucking new car released in the last year has electric folding mirrors. They are pointless. I have driven a F-350 every day for over a year now and you know how many times I have had to fold in my mirrors? NEVER! Not even once! I'm wider than most every car produced and I have yet to say "That gap is pretty tight, I wish I could fold in my mirrors in but both of my hands are missing and/or I'm too fucking lazy to get out of my truck and tuck them in." It is a pointless useless thing to break that sure as hell won't be cheap to fix. Lets say new cars have them so other cars wont break the mirrors well you parked. Okay, I was not aware of a car mirror breakage epidemic and I would rather have mirrors that are strong and wont brake instead of gimmick. Seriously car company its stupid, stop it.

generally pointless, I'll fold the ones in on the white whale as I always back in so some snapperhead doesn't whack my rear fenders, if its a tight parking lot, I'll tuck in the drivers side one.

OP
Well you have tow mirrors and that's a different story! If things get to tight I just find a different spot because on more than on occasion I have been boxed in by my need to be closer to the door.
