The Gift of Life
My birth mother passed away from stomach cancer when I was very very young. She wrote down a poem 2 1/2 weeks before she passed away. I just found out about this and I saw the letter today. On October 1st, 2002, even though I was really young, it’s nice to know now what she was feeling while she was going through this and what she was thinking about.
"Celebrate each day this summer, for you have been given the gift of life.
Think about what you can accomplish.
Imagine all of the lives that you can touch.
There’s no limit to what you can do if you dare to dream.
Don’t waste a second of your precious gift.
Make the most of it always.
Look for the positive and seek that which brings you happiness and fly on wings of hope.”
- Bobbette Bryan
I love and miss you Mom.
