Contact lenses are what I most recommend, but I understand the fear.
Products like Never-Fog, or Rain-X (what we call them here in the USA, just products to stop fogging on car windows) are good to use.

Contacts are horribly inconvenient (and expensive) for day-to-day wear, but buying a box of disposable ones for fursuiting probably wouldn't be that bad.

even so the fear of having them stuck in the back of my skull is whats preventing me from wearing them...

That is actually extremely rare.

Anti-fog spray is meant to be clear for such eyewear. To have clouded vision is dangerous, so it's nothing to worry.

Soooo, I saw a suiter at FWA this past year who's design was to cut slits in the eyebrows that were the appropriate width to create the effect of a pinhole camera as a focusing mechanism for his eyes, which allowed him to wander around in suit without his glasses and maintain perfect vision. It would require a bit of trial and error to get the size of the pinhole perfect, but this principle would allow you to not need to wear contacts or glasses while in suit. I can't remember the name of the suiter who did it, but it was a fellow with a large-eared female bunny with a suit of armor and a rather anime-esque face.
