So, Eorzea and A Realm Reborn.

Yeah, I'm playing it. BIG DEAL! WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT?!
Actually, from what I hear, most people playing it are having a good time with it. Surprisingly, I am as well.
I've gotten it on PS3 because my PC could only dream of playing it, what with it's outdated technology and my lack of resources. Or caring. Or time. Regardless though, it hits all the right points and fixes a lot of the issues I had with 11 back in the day. I played 11 for a while so I know some of the shortcomings it had. I applaud it for being an 11 year old MMO. While not the longest, it's certainly worth bragging about.
I'm sure WoW isn't too far from that either. Though, everyone under the sun has heard of WoW.
This one though, A Realm Reborn, has been a lot of fun. Sure, it's an MMO that functions like your standard MMO. Though, it's borrowed some things from the giant itself, as with most MMOs now a days and in my opinion, improves on a lot of it.
Parties for instanced raids are only 4 and 8, which is a lot easier for the people playing with the controller. Controlling is pretty simple, though auto-run is a bit wonky and targetting can be a bit frustrating at times. Either way, it's been a while since I could pop something into my PS3 that isn't Tales related and play it so much, I've lost complete and total track of time.
I won't go into a full on review of this one here, but I plan on whipping up my full report and maybe posting it to GameFAQs, or make a blog, or something. What's all the new kids doing these days?
If you're playing, watching me and give a damn, come poke me on the Famfrit server. I'm a pretty kitty!
(Of course, this is all verily subject to change come October 12th. For... reasons.)
