Oh The Things You See at Walmart...

I you
I heard what sounded like an ailing cow...upon closer inspection it proved to be an untrained pair of lips sounding a horn! A trumpet to be more precise.
My middle school days came back to me in a blur and I sought it out.
Some dude selling his trumpet in the parking lot. This dad was there with his kid trying out the instrument and I offered to take a look, out of practice though I may be. The middle valve was a bit sticky, but it loosened up as I played a few notes. Damn good horn! The kid with his dad is joining his Jazz Band this year, and I wish him well! Kinda makes me want to take it up again...but no, not now.
Ah memory lane! What a nice stroll!

was visiting my little sister at her school
(and any band kid knows it's marching season)
I was shocked at how some of these kids treated their instruments
our band was more loved (and better paid) then the foot ball team
(And I live in TX)
So not every school had what we did... but still
I had a 5A school with a 3A to 4A band depending on the year
I think it's a TX thing
Is ok
It's been a few years so I don't know why I still do
That sounds fun
yeah most of my performances I recall bits and pieces
I need a new outlet
